LiMAR Helmet

  • This project was the first solo CAD project I did at SJSU in my 2021 freshman year. This project revolved around LiMAR’s design challenge for students to design a new helmet. Being a lifelong mountain biker and former bike shop employee, I saw the trend in popularity of e-bike commuters and wanted my helmet to be catered towards that demographic. The helmet features your typical EVA foam inner structure with a hard polycarbonate exterior shell. The main selling point of the helmet is to improve visibility through its forward LED light and OLED tail light. My personal goal with this project was to develop a design for high end commuters who want to improve their on-road presence while not looking like a dork.
